20 Scriptures about the mind?
Dear brothers,
I just embarked on the task from the wednesday message to search through the bible for 20 scriptures concerning the mind, and what a tremendous journey it turned out to be!
I went to biblegateway.com and searched 'mind' (you can try 'heart' too later). I was so amazed but the deep things the bible has written about the mind as I read through the different scriptures, both in the OT and NT.
Here are a few:
Deuteronomy 11:18
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
1 Samuel 15:29
He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind."
Job 38:36
Who endowed the heart with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind ?
Psalm 26:2
Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
1 Peter 4:7
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.
Enjoy the exploration!
Ronald

A simple realization from a revival conference
I just attended a revival conference by renowned speaker Yuan志明牧师。
Truly it was highly enlightening and I went there with the heart of learning.
It's been years since I last stepped into an established church and I could feel that Jesus is working everywhere.
Many of the things I heard coincided well with what SSN is teaching. Years ago, this might not be the case. Thus I could feel that history is progressing in the direction of the Lord's will.
As per the message heard on Friday HSM, I once again realized the value of Providence and how important it is to take action.
Taking action is the treasured mentality of Providence. We have to do it in order to realize the full value of this history.
Let's be proud of this history through taking action and gaining confidence.

Sharing :)
Dear brothers, this dawn at prayers, I received a strong inspiration as I prayed this set of heartfelt introductory words to new lives, be it friends or even strangers met during street evangelism. I would like to share it with you in hope that it may give you some inspiration of what to say to lives out there. (i don't get such strong inspirations too often! hehe)
In Him,
Ronald
Introductory words
"How much do you price (some random objects)?"
"Is there anything that you price so much, that you are willing to give up your life for?"
"As you can see, there are not many things (or even none) that we are willing to give up our lives for. Even then, when the time comes, we may actually end up treasuring our lives more. Therefore, if there was a person who actually gave up his life for you, wouldn't that be something really shocking?"
"If you knew, you would probably want to know what this person did that, and hear out what this person had to say, right? This is what happened for me."
"5 years ago I realized that a person gave up his life for me and I was shocked. He wanted to tell me some things, and I couldn't be so heartless as to ignore him, no matter how busy i was with studies and work at that time."
"He told me, that he died, so that I could live."
I asked him, "What do you mean? Couldn't you have done something else? And what do you mean that so that I can live?"
He said that only the price of his life could buy my life from the path of eternal death. He taught me, that people are truly living a life without knowing that they are headed towards eternal death, a life of sin and doing whatever they wanted...
(Here can share deeper about the words with inspiration from the HS)
"I learnt many other things which transformed my life to 100/1000 times better, and I also realized the true meaning of my existence. He also told me to tell everyone who has a heart, that He gave up his life so that not only me, but everyone, (yes, you too) could live!"
"And he asks you today, 'Would you be willing to hear my sincere words to you?"
In Him,
Ronald

Soccer Training 17.01.2010
There were only 5 of us on this afternoon but nevertheless God provided the fair weather and we were able to enjoy the fellowship as much as the lessons learnt.
Led by Guotai, our soccer captain and assisted by our soccer mentor M.Huasong, we spent an enjoyable 2 hours under the sun. As we do it, we also try to learn our bible teacher's mentality and put it to practice ourselves. Watch the after session videos for sharings by each member.
